Honda Repair: 1997 Honda Crv, spark plug wires, honda crv

Question
The car has 176,000 miles on it has been running pretty good. I've replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. As of recent the only thing I can remember is filling the gas tank from halfway to full using gas that came from a buddy of mine that had the gas stored in a tank for a few months. When the gas got back down to about a half the car started hesitating and bucking even more so when the car was going up a fairly steep incline and the check engine light is flashing.  What do you think the problem could be?

Answer
Anytime the check engine light flashes it means that there is a problem that needs your attention right away. In your case it most likely means that you have a misfire in one of your cylinders. I would take the vehicle to an auto parts store to have them check the codes. This will tell you the cylinder number that is having the misfire (unless it is a code p0300 which is a random misfire).
After you have the code then you know which cylinder to focus on.
There are many things that can cause a misfire. The first thing I would do is check to make sure that I had all my spark plug wires on correctly. Be sure that they are all seated all the way.
Some of the things that can cause this type of code are fuel injectors, ignition components, worn valves, etc.
you can post the codes once you know them and I can help you more.
