Mazda: 93 mpv wont start, vacuum leaks, air filter oil

Question
i have a mpv that wont start when it gets warmed up. it will run all day when you start it cold but if you shut it off it wont start back up until it cools down. i havent tested anything yet just got it and i'm don't know much about mazda's

Answer
I regret that my area of expertise is with rotary powered Mazdas. I can not point you to any typical problems on an MPV. However, there are things that you can do on any car that generally take care of problems like this one.

First, check for vacuum leaks. I think that I recommend this to about 1/3rd of the people who ask me about car problems.

Second, if your vacuum leak check doesn't resolve the problem, do a tune up. Replace plugs, wires, air filter, oil and the oil filter. The oil and filter will not directly affect warm start behavior, but the plugs wires and air filter will.
