Honda Repair: 1995 accord 2.7 engine tick, valve adjustments, dealer charges

Question
Hey there. New to hondas, and stumped. 1995 accord 2.7, sounds to me like bad lifters. It will 8/10 times appear when idling, starts quiet, gets louder and then goes away. On occasion can hear it when driving also around 2000 rpm range. Sometimes never even shows up at all for a few days. Oil is replaced 10w30, Tried valve medic, and even a thicker oil. Bad lifters? Valve adjustments? I don't want to dig into this motor without a pointer in which direction. Thank much for any input.

Answer
Yan, adjust the valves. Valve lash will come out of spec after 90K miles. Thats why at the 90K service this is adjusted. Valve adjustment should be done every 60K after 90K. Fairly inexpensive and you could do this yourself if you wanted too. Make sure whoever is doing this service knows what they are doing. Honda dealer charges around a $100 and they also adjust a whole lot of other stuff for you at the same time so it might be worth it!

Sorry about the delay in response time I just got back from Xmas vacation and did not check my Email until today... :D
