Honda Repair: 94 Accord Wheel Alignment, wheel alignment, perfect alignment

Question
I have a 94 Accord with about 230,000 miles.  I keep having trouble with
wheel alignment.  I have taken my car to various shops to align it and the
problem persists.  My car is lowered about 2 inches.  I installed the camber
kit and took the car again to get aligned and that did not solve the problem.
The front tires are not wearing even; the inside of the tire wears much
quicker.  What are your recommendations?  I bought the car dropped and
having put back to stock is not an option for me.  Is there a "do it yourself" to
align lowered cars?  Thanks in advance

Answer
Memo, unfortunately since your car is lowered on springs or coil-overs, you are stuck with what you get. Even a camber correction kit is only going to correct about 1 to 1.5 degrees of camber. Not sufficent when the minimun positive camber you have right now is 3.5 degrees. Accords also have the motor sitting over the front wheels to give additional weight and excess camber when driving. What you need is an adjustable upper ball mount. Along with the camber kit will give you 90% back to perfect alignment. I think Skunk2 has a kit available for Civic's but unsure about Accords. You can also look into A-symetric tires. I prefer Kumho. They make an A-symetric tire that has a harder compound material towards the inside of the tire vs. softer towards the outside. This will help significantly. Other than that do some research and invest in products that satisfy your need. Or return the car to stock height. I like the look personally but, sometimes that costs money too.
