Honda Repair: Honda Civic problem, radiator hoses, coolant lines

Question
03 Honda civic overheating after placed thermostat, radiator, and radiator cap

Answer
Elizabeth, the cooling system consists of radiator, radiator cap, thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, water pump, multiple sensors, and a couple of other small coolant lines. Thats it. Now after replacing what you have done already you need to properly bleed the coolant system. There is a bleeder valve for this. It might be a 10mm or 12mm bolt located near the thermostat or engine cylinder head. Basically brake this bolt loose. Start the car. And add fluid to the system until full. What you are doing is bleeding the air bubbles out of the system. The bubbles in the coolant system will create a blockage preventing the flow of fluid. Watch your engine temperature while doing this too! If this doesn't fix your problem you have a faulty water pump that needs to be replaced. Which is difficult to get too because the timing belt is fixed to the pulley. So you might as well replace the timing belt and cam seal. This is sold in a kit ususally with the water pump.
