Honda Repair: My car wont start, honda accord lx, mechnic

Please help! I bought a 1995 Honda Accord LX that wouldn't start. I took it to a friend that is a mechanic to get it fixed without success. It cranks but won't start. We have replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires, the fuel pump, the waterpump and timing belt. He did a tune up and cleaned the engine. He got the car starting several times and when it runs it runs great but then other days it won't start at all.

Today I called Sears auto shop to ask for advice and the mechnic there said it sounded like an electric problem. Any advice?

Vivian, you have invested and replaced alot on this car. The only thing left would be the distributor and ignition coil. Does the car have spark? Or not. Your mechanic should know. Hopefully the mechanic installed the timing belt 100% correctly too. Even 1 tooth off of the timing will screw things up too. Spark and timing! Then let me know if this helps.
