Honda Repair: Transmission Repair, repair question, control solenoid valve

Question
QUESTION: I recently took my Honda to the dealer to get my transmission checked because it was slipping and this is what they came up with:Found two codes stored.P0747-Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve A Stuck On and P0752 - Shift Solenoid Valve A Stuck On. Fluid is Burnt.  Do you recommend that I replace the the transmission with a remanufactured one like they did or do you think I can have the existing transmission rebuilt? I did some research and it looks like I can replace the solenoids, what do you think?
Imelda

ANSWER: Imelda, the solenoids can be replaced. But this always doesn't fix the slippage. Of course replacing the solenoids and flushing the transmission fluid might help you get by for a while. But the only way to be 100% certain you fix the problem would be to go with the manufactured unit. It is up to you but those are the cheapest to most expensive fixes for your car.

QUESTION: I'm having my current transmission rebuilt, what do you think about that?

Answer
It's ok as long as you trust the place doing the repair and that it comes with a warranty too. 1000's of cars on the road today have rebuilt transmissions and engines. Make sure they completely flush the old transmission fluid out of the lines and cooler. Only use Honda ATF too.
