Honda Repair: Dash panel problems, dash area, dash lights

Question
Hi, I have a 1992 Accord EX.  Last night I Went to turn on my CD player and it was turning on and off in CD mode but tuner and aux was fine.  When I went to remove my cd it turned off completely as if it was not getting a power.  After that I noticed my dash lights, heater/AC and sunroof were not working.  I checked all the fuses they seemed to be fine but I replaced them anyways.  I also checked the lighting and dimmer relay they seemed good as well but haven't replaced them.
My stereo is not stalk but has been installed for a month and a half with out problems.
What can cause this and how can I fix it?
My sunroof is open and it suppose to rain tonight.  Besides that I'm afraid it will get stolen.
Please help!  Any info you can give will be great. Also is there any possible way I can manually shut the sunroof?  I'd be a lot less stressed out if it was just closed and not have a tarp over it....
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I'm keeping my figures crossed you can help me... Angela

Answer
Angela, there is a way to manually close your sunroof. It requires an Allen head key thingy that comes with the car brand new. Unfortunately your car being a 92 i doubt this is in the car owners manual area. In the headliner area there should be a plug (plastic). Remove this plug. Should be a bolt of some sorts to insert the Allen head key thingy into and turn clockwise to shut the sunroof. I have never experienced this problem so i am not 100%. Was your stereo installed by a friend of yours? Or a shop? If a shop take back they could have possibly damaged some wiring. If it was your friend I would not let him/her install stereo equipment for you anymore. You are losing power to a large part of your car's dash area. This can only be a few things causing this. Take the face of your stereo off and all your valuables too. Just to be sure. If someone is going to break in and there is nothing in the car then you should be fine. If you have anymore ?'s send me a follow-up...
