Honda Repair: 2001 honda accord ex tranmission, honda accord ex, torque converter

our accord is having shifting problems , when you slow down and then start to accelerate the tranmission acts like it slips then catches in a jerk and does not shift properly either .have already changed fluid , but didnot help, what next . car only has 119,000 miles lady driven . if we can't fix problem car is going to find a new home, and this will be the last honda we buy . i have owned honda's for years and have had some great cars.

Assuming this is an Automatic transmission; replace the torque converter. Not cheap but will solve your problem. Pretty much need to remove your transmission to gain access but will fix your problem. Don't drive in D4 if is in Auto. Unless you over 45mph. Use D3 when under 45mph. This causes less strain on the Overdrive area of the transmission. This caused your damage to the premature wear of the torque converter.

If a manual transmission. Replace the clutch, throw out bearing. Drop fluid and replace.
