Honda Repair: decarb service-now hard start, misfire, odd coincidence, firing order

Question
QUESTION: i just installed new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and a full decarb service to my 2001 honda accord 4cly, now it doesnt want to start and when it does it has a very rough idle, i took everything back apart made sure all the new parts were good, checked the firing order and all that, they were good. any ideas on what this could be ?

ANSWER: Steve, rare service that Honda offers and not very familiar with what the "decarb" includes. I am assuming decarbonation? I am assuming you did the tune-up correctly? So this brings me to believe that something could have come unplugged - therefore causing the rough idle. Maybe? Really though i would be guessing. Please describe to me, step by step, in detail what you did exactly to the car. Double check the firing order. How did the car run before you performed the service? Were there any check engine lights on? Before or after? The more details you provide me the better! Thank you and i will follow-up with you k...

QUESTION: it is a decarbonation service. it has a fuel system cleaner that goes int he gas tank, and two intake cleaners one, you run threw the vacume hose that goes to the brake booster and another one you spray into the throttle body. i did all that and it was running great. then i did the tune up and tried to start it and it wouldnt.so i ended up letting it sit over night and went out the next morning and it started right up, but still had a ruff idle, so i took it out on the interstate thinking maybe the decarb was still in the system. it worked, now it runs better than it ever did, and idles so smooth you dont even know its running. but i still dont know what would cause it not to start, and idle so ruff

Answer
Odd coincidence, whenever moisture hits the throttle body directly it causes rough idle. Like, the choke is on. But, it sounds like the system evaporated itself and probably won't have this problem in the future. Was the fuel filter replaced? Have you driven the car on the interstate hard? Reving through all gears 5K +? This will help...
