Nissan Repair: transmission shifting, shift problem, xe

I have a 1994 Nissan XE and the auto  trans will shift up through the gears ok but sometimes sticks, but after up to speed wont down shift when you give it gas say to pass a car. Any guess?

The transmission should be serviced as in change the fluid and filter.  The governor seems to be sticking and that causes the shift problem.  The downshift problem is probably due to the cable being out of adjustment.  Have the kickdown linkage adjusted to get the car to downshift properly.  Email me back if you need more.
