Honda Repair: About to buy a 1991 Honda civic. Power steering and leak., civic power, 1991 honda civic

Hi, I am about to purchase a 1991 honda civic. The car did not turn very well. The seller told me that 1991 honda's do not have power steering setups, is this true?? Also the car is leaking coolant ( i think ) from behind the engine, is this coolant, or is this the water pump??? Thank you for your help!!

Travis, the 91 Civic's only had PS on the 4D sedan models. Not the HB's. As far as the leak goes it could be coming from any area including hoses, thermostat housing, thermostat, etc. You should localize the leak and find specifically where it is expelling from. This will better help you with repairs and diagnosis. In general this type of leak should be fairly inexpensive to fix!
