Honda Repair: honda crv vibration, yokohama avid trz, yokohama geolander

Question
Hi,
I have 2000 Honda CRV AWD, 150000 km, recently car start vibrate at low speed between 40-60 km/hr. I checked suspension and drive shafts and everything seems to be ok. Tires are BFGOODRICH touring T/A and they are worn down to 1-2 mm above tread check mark. I had problem with this tires before, they pulled to one side and they were also cupping. Do you think that tires would create this kind of low speed vibration? The whole car vibrates include steering wheel.especially when slowing down. If you think that I need new tires what brand would you recomend. Friend recomended Yokohama avid trz is very good tire. I live in Ontario,Canada so we have snow here too.
I appreciate your advise.

Answer
Roman, yes i do believe the tires will cause this. But, warped front rotors will cause this as well. Especially under braking. Have you had a recent front brake repair done? If so, where the rotors turned or replaced completely? If not, try rotating the front tires to the back and the back to front then drive it and see if it is worse or less or the same? These are simple diagnostics that you can perform so that you are able to pinpoint the issue. And Yokohama is an excellent tire choice but spendy. Michelin is the best tire for the money but spendy too. I prefer Kumho brand myself. Look into the Yokohama Geolander too!
