Honda Repair: replacement of electrical portion of iginition, 1991 Honda Civic, phillips screws, small screws

Question
If you turn the iginition to the 2nd position, radio and lighter works, start the car and no AC,radio or lighter. If you move the key back towards the off position very slowly, just before the engine turns off, everything works; however, the slightest movement and no AC, radio or lighter.  Discussed with a master technician and he agreed it porbable is the electrical portion of the iginition.  How do I replace it?  The local parts store has one in stock for $64.00 and I want to replace it.  Help!

Answer
Remove the upper & lower portion of the steering column covers. They are connected with Phillips screws. Once down, you will see the back side of the ignition switch. It is round & white & has some wires coming out of it. It is connected by two small screws. Undo the screws & unplug the connector at the dash fuse box.
