hey matthew when my transmission shifts hard sometime and then sometime it
don't, and when its in fourth gear it feels like it shifts for no appearent reason.
what is wrong? thanks

If your transmission is shifting hard, you should consider having the fluid flushed out with a transmission flush machine. These machines are great because they flush 15 qts of fluid through the transmission & completely clean it out. This works better than doing a drain & refill because you only drain 3 qts out & install 3 qts on a drain & refill. This does not get the contaminated fluid out of the torque converter. Any transmission shop should be able to do a flush for you. If you think your transmission is shifting for no reason, you are probably felling the transmission going into overdrive. When it does this in fourth gear, the torque converter is locking up & sending the transmission into overdrive. You can feel the transmission bump when it goes into overdrive. This is completely normal.
