Honda Repair: immobiliser, honda accord coupe, honda accord

i have an honda accord coupe 1998, car intermittently wont start i have worked out its because the keys aren't registering with immobiliser(light wont come on)after removing key and reinserting maybe for sum 30 mins will eventuality read(vdu light comes on and car will start) have taken to dealer. had the two immobilisers control units changed and no luck. please suggest what the problem could be

Hi Ben, has this car been stolen before? This sounds like whoever is installing the immobilizer units is not doing the procedure 100% properly. I would return to a dealer and tell them to fix the problem you already paid to repair. And if that doesn't work take to another dealer and explain to them your situation. Immobilizer units are very temperamental and require specific installation procedures. To properly analyze the issue at hand takes some time and cannot be answered through Email's very easily.
