Honda Repair: Honda Accord Staring problems, honda accord ex, high mileage

Question
My Honda Accord EX 99 has problems starting at times. I have to keep pressing on the gas peddle for it to turn on. My car is a 4cyl. Automatic. I think it might be cause the Fuel injectors might be dirty but i dont know any info is helpful. Is it best just to take it to the dealership or any automotive place can fix?

Answer
well, for a fuel injected car messing with the gas pedal doesnt do anything. unless you mean that is sputters and you have to fight to keep it running.
dirty injectors will cause a bad idle but they won't ever get so bad it won't run.
i don't believe this is something i am going to be able to help with over the net. you would need to be pretty well verse in diagnosing and it would take a series of emails. and even then honestly, there is a lot to be said for hearing and seeing for myself.
you will be better off asking around for shop recommendations and taking it there. it will get fixed much faster in the end.
i will go ahead and take a guess, cuz i cant help it, but if that is high mileage (100-110k or so) and not had the timing belt done, the belt could have jumped. so when you do get it fixed, keep my guess in mind when they tell you ;).
