Honda Repair: 1990 honda accord, coolant leak, rotten eggs

Question
i just purchased a 1990 accord EX. the person i bought it from just had the oil changed and plugs changed and a few other small things. the owner before him put alot of money into engine repair like new alternator power steering even mew tranny, he said the engine had been rebuilt. I havve noticed that there is an odor after the car has been running for a period of time but its not running hot and there are no unusual noises coming from under the hood. i cant think of what it could be and dont want to throw money away.

Answer
thats pretty vague, but the only smell most people will really notice is the cat. it can smell like rotten eggs when it goes bad. or perhaps with a new one. but a new one will not be a very strong smell.
other smells could be..
-fuel from running rich
-coolant leak
-oil leak burning on exhaust (the oil filter is right above exhaust so if they dont clean it off after a change it can smell for a little while)
-a/c leak in evaporator
-or even a plastic bag stuck on the exhaust

and plenty more. you will just have to take it to a shop and have it checked or wait til something goes wrong. as bad as that sounds, more often than you think, that is all you can do
