Honda Repair: 90 Honda Accord, honda accord, car battery

We just replaced the manifold exhaust seals and the car battery died. Not sure if its related. There is an old alarm attached to the car and was thinking it could be the problem. Ever heard of an alarm causing an issue for the battery?

What type of alarm is it and does it still work? does the car run when you take a battery lead off? if not its the alternator, if so something is draining the battery and it could be a faulty alarm??? i need the type and model of the alarm fitted to tell you how to uninstall it.
