Question -
I have a DL 3 dr. hatchback with a 1.5l. When I try to charge the system, gas starts shooting out the back of the compressor. It's a brass nut about 3/4" long with a plug on the back. If I remove the plug, an oily foamy liquid will leak out. With the plug on, it shoots out a small hole (more like a gas) in the plug. Is this some sort of high pressure relief valve? The systes will start to cool just before the ejection occurs.

Answer -
What PSI are you running into the compressor and it sounds like a blocked pipe, It shouldnt come out like that.

Thanks for the quick response Rusty

The low side shows about 70 to 80 PSI, high side about 30 when the evacuation occurs

Answer
The lines in the compressor are blocked or the internal spindal end of the compressor is jammed or in the wrong place. Have you tried to turn the AC pump around to a different possition and tryed it? It could well be that the pump has seen better days.

Hope ive been of some help
