Honda Repair: 1988 honda prelude engine, honda prelude, 1988 honda prelude

When car is ideling, the engine dies. To keep the car from dying, I have to keep my foot on the gas.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

is this a efi model or a dual carb model? is it a 1.8 SOHC 1.8  DOHC or a 2.0 DOHC, recomed adjust the timing, 12mm spanner loosen bolts (not all the way) start the car and turn dizzy untill it idles, if this is no good turn the mixture screws anticlockwise 1/4 of a turn if this still goes on check sparkplugs and replace if need be. ummmmmm  yes i need more info sorry
