Honda Repair: Honda Civic 95 starts then dies, honda civic 95, berrings

Hi,
I have a Honda civic 95 EX. The A/C has been ineffective lately in the summer and sometimes the engine would make knocking sounds (but never stalled)while idling with the a/c on. But since yesterday, i have another inter-mitant problem, not sure if its connected to the A/C...at randon times, the car will start for a second and then die. Since it starts for a second I am ruling out battery problems, and since it is random, I am assuming it is a loose connection somewhere. Any advice? Thanks,Anjali

does it restart again after shutting down, how many kms?, The knocking sound could be the culprit being the big end berrings, if so the computer picks this up and automaticly shuts down, does the check engine light come on when the knocking starts, if not make sure the light in the dash is working... alot of people take them out
