Honda Repair: 1990 accord follow up question, transmission control unit, torque converter

Question
I was wondering if the flywheel might be broken some how. When the starter is engaged it turns the flywheel, but the motor itself is not turning at all. However when I turn the motor by hand I can see the flywheel turn with it.

As far as fuel and fire, it has both. I am not sure about the transmission. I can not push it when I put it in gear or reverse, but with the motor off I can't be sure. I did however just put a rebuilt transmission control unit. The ran and shifted fine for about four days before this new problem happened.

Answer
Well, technically, this engine doesn't have a flywheel.  Its a small flexplate that is bolted to the crank.  The starter ring is attached to the torque converter.  It is very possible that the ring is proken away from the torque converter or that the flexplate has broken.  If something is broken, it should make a lot of noise when turning over.  If you look through the small timing inspection hole in the front of the engine you should be able to see the torque converter and the flexplate.  Are they both turning?  If they are you may have a broken flexplate but is should be making a lot of noise.
