Honda Repair: 92 Civic Si - Bad Starter?, engine fires, click sound

Question
I have a 1992 Civic SI with aprox 150K.  For the last few months I
have had a problem starting the car.  I turn the key and the engine
won't turn over, just makes a "click" sound.  This might happen
once or fifty times before the engine fires, but then runs without a
problem.  The problem also seems to get worse the longer the car
sits (ie. I went on vacation for a week and when I got home the
doesn't want to start at all).  Battery is new, I'm wondering if it
could be a faulty starter?

Answer
I would place money on the starter.  Sounds like it has a bad spot in the starter.  I would replace the starter.  My recommendation is do not go with the cheapest one you can find because you will probably go through more than one until you get a good starter.  The factory starters are a little more expensive but I rarely change them.
