Honda Repair: S light flashing Honda accord 1990, side kick panel, honda accord 1990

I have a 1990 Honda Accord 2 door LX.  Last week I was driving and my S light started flashing I noticed when it started flashing everytime i was at a stop it would be hard to drive, the car would start reving high.  Now i took it to a garage and they ran some tests, they said there is nothing wrong with the transmission, they said they reset something and the light shouldn't come back on.  Now when i picked up the car the light didn't come back on but i noticed it still didn't seem like it was changing gears on time.( automatic transmission) this mourning after about 25 minutes of driviing the light came back on. what do you think might be the problem?

Does the check engine light come on as well?  I would want to know what the code is when the light is on.  FInd the two pin blue connector located behind the pass side kick panel and jump it with a paper clip.  It may still be taped to the wire harness with some blue tape.  Turn the key on and count the flashes of the light and see what the code is.
