Honda Repair: ignition switch cylinder, shear bolts, counterclockwise motion

Question
I have a 1990 Honda civic. I'm replaceing the ignition cylinder because I lost my keys. What can I use to turn the old cylinder so it can be removed?  Thank you.

Answer
Dorcille, I think you're asking how to remove the 2 shear bolts securing the ignition switch assy.? If thats what you mean you have 2 options. 1) you can centre punch each bolt on the head then drill out or, 2) you can use a chisel and hit them on an angle in a counterclockwise motion and that will also do it. If you're asking how to remove the lock cylinder if I remember right there's a roll pin on the side where you put the key in. You can use a push pin to insert into the roll pin and work it out and that'll remove the lock cyl. RICK
