Honda Repair: Turbo compatibility, honda del sol, head bolts

Question
Hi, i have a 1.5L honda del sol S '94. i see the compression ratios on my style engine are quite low, i saw a site saying it is around 9.1:1. Either way, i wanted to know how much boost is safe to run on my engine, it is modified with everything except internal parts (pistons, valves..etc.) ive heard that 6-8psi is safe, is this because reguardless of the compression the pistons just cant stand the heat? and if i did upgrade the pistons how much could i boost?

one more thing, is it legal to bore out the engine block? and if it has a limit what is the limit, and will it increase the smog?

thanks

JLP

Answer
Still looking for info on this one?  I would love to help you if I can.  6-8 psi is about all you will get out of the stock engine without having to upgrade.  You will have to upgrade the pistons, and would upgrade the rod and crank bolts as well as the headgasket and head bolts if you want more PSI.
