Honda Repair: 2005 Honda Civic maintenance req light, civic maintenance, honda civic

Question
Bill, A few weeks ago, the dealer forgot to turn the "Maint req" light off after an oil change.  Can I do this myself?  The car also needed a battery jump recently.  The car turned over immediately; however, the radio does not turn on and the word "code" appears on the display. Any help would be great.  Thank you

I'm not sure the sequence to turn off the maintenance light for the '05, but you are going to have to go to the dealer (maybe) anyway to get the code for your radio. You need the s/n of the radio; it should be on a tag inside the glove box.
You will need proof of ownership, they can pull it up in their system, you punch the numbers and the radio will work. They should be able to turn your maintenance light off. You can also look in the owners manual and it should tell you how to turn the light off.
Good luck.
