Honda Repair: 1994 Accord dies when driving, momment, speed sensor

Question
I've started having a problem with my Accord when first starting to drive it. It starts fine and runs fine for a while, but then, the tach. starts to 'bounce'.  After this, the engine shuts off and the "check engine" light comes on.  It takes a few times to get it to start again once this occurs, and I usually have to pump the gas.  Also when doing this, it seems to sputter and the exhaust sounds like it's struggling.  Is this a fuel problem or is it related to something else...catalytic converter, ignition switch, etc.?

A side note: I've also been having transmission problems as well (takes a momment to shift into gear when speeding back up from slowing down), so I'm not sure if this could be related. It's an automatic.

Answer
Josh:
The problem with it dying while driving sounds like the ignition switch is going bad, it is losing contact and dying on you. Also sounds like you have a problem with the speed sensor or the control unit, hard to say if problems related.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
