Honda Repair: 97 accord shift light replacement, ash tray, shift light

I have a 97 Accord SE with auto. trans. and the light on shift console that illuminates the shifter position has burned out. How do I replace this bulb/remove console?

To replace the bulb you will need to open the arm rest, remove the inner cover, remove the access lid and screws, remove the cup holder and raise the parking brake. Lift the front of the console and slide rearward to detach from mounting hooks. You should be able to remove the console from over the parking brake, remove the ash tray and lift the console. You should be able to get access to the bulb.
