Honda Repair: 91 Accord ignition cylinder, head bolts, cylindar

Question
The ignition cylindar on my Accord has stopped turning, doesn't matter what key (spare, wife's or mine) we use.

I've removed the steering wheel, and the ignition switch, and all electrical connections to the cylindar. I'm now down to the plastic end where you put the key in, and I can't get it off the barrel.

How does that "key hole" end come off? I figure that's the part I need to replace.

And can I get new keys and lock from a parts store or do I have to go to a dealer?

I'm glad you're here!

Answer
Jerry:
The lock assembly is clamped to the steering column by two shear head bolts. Use a punch to make a dimple in the head of each bolt, then drill the head off the bolt, separate the clamp and remove from steering column. I would call the parts store to see if they have the parts, but I think this is a dealer item.
Hope this helps.
