Honda Repair: 2001 Accord Radio/CD Problem, cigarette lighter, blown fuse

Question
A cell phone adapter blew the fuse in my radio/cd player and cigarette lighter.I replaced the fuses, but now my radio or cd player won't work. The radio is telling me to give it a code, but I don't know any code. The cd player took a cd, but now it won't play it or eject it.I have a long road trip coming up and need some music, man!
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Mary Anne:
Your radio is set with a security code so if someone steals the radio, they cannot use it. Anytime you disconnect the power to the radio, dead battery or blown fuse in your case, you need the code. You can go to any Honda dealer and provide proof of ownership and the radio serial number and they will give you the five-digit code. Honda will charge you if they have to pull the radio to get the s/n, so this can be a pain. You may want to check on the inside of your glove box and there might be a sticker with the s/n on it.
Good luck.
