Honda Repair: 96 Honda Accord - replacement stock radio does not recognize aftermarket trunk cd player, stock radio, stock stereo

Question
~Hey Bill

I own a '96 Honda Accord LX...  I recently replaced the am/fm stock stereo (one with a working digital display) & now my aftermarket 6-disc changer that's in the trunk, does not work.

In order to do this I initially had to take everything apart, put in the new stereo, clear out the system by unhooking the car's main battery momentarily and then input a code that was on the stock stereo...

I hooked up everything back up, yet because I have an anti-theft system on the cd-player, as well as on my car, maybe either of those could be the contributing factoids...?

Do you have any experience with this problem..?

Please let me know, as I can't get my cd's out of the changer now.  The 6-disc changer that I have in the trunk, before I replaced the stock radio, would let me remove cd's when the car was off...  Now it disallows me to do so, and does not function at all.

Thank you for your time! :)

JJ:
I have had problems changing out radios but not specifically a cd-player. The problem I had was in matching up the wiring harness and I would image that is the problem you’re having. One of the leads is for power to the cd-player and may not be correctly hooked up. Sorry I can't be of more help.
