Honda Repair: water in the gas tank, gas hole, honda accord ex

I'm so stupid!!! I went to the gas station to get gas and decided to get my car washed also. When I got out of the car wash I discovered my gas cap on the trunk of my car, and the gas door wide open. I thought the flap in the gas hole might save me, but there isn't one.  So all that water and soap had to get in the tank. I parked it and haven't driven it. What do I do?  The car is a 1999 Honda Accord EX. Thank you.

I doubt that the amount of water that got into your tank is enough to do any harm. You may experience some rough performance as it works its way through the system but that is about all. The only other thing you would want to do is fill-up when it gets to half a tank to further dilute any water that may be in your system.
