Honda Repair: noise from front end, honda civic lx, wheel bearing

Question
Bill,
I have a 2002 honda civic lx with 91K miles.  I heard a clicking noise coming from the front end when makeing sharp right turns at low RPMs which sounded like a CV joint.  I am a DIY and ultimatley repalced both the front axels and the sound still exists. What should I look at now?  Wheel bearing?

Thanks,

Scott

Answer
Scott:
A wheel bearing will make more of a growling noise while driving, not just during turns so I would not suspect a wheel bearing. You may have a bad ball joint or a bad tie rod, hard to say without listing to it. Rotate the tires to make sure it is not a bad tire.
