Question
Hey Bill, I know the 7th gen, civics (2001 lx coupe) are'nt exactly your claimed area of expertise but I am hoping you might know something about them or at least know someone who does. The question at hand is balljoints...most importantly why can't I find a manual that covers the procedure for removing and installing them or the parts themselves anywhere on the internet or E-bay?
I am hoping,sincerely,that Honda does not expect me to replace the entire knuckle after only 65k or that if there is a recognized problem with the parts that they would let me know.
Maybe I am simply not looking in the correct place for the parts or the information, however I don't want to tear the front end down to find out 3 hours into the job that the parts are unavailable or that completion requires a special hon-tool.

I really do not have an answer for you on this, but I would suggest calling Honda parts and see what they sell as a replaceable unit. As for a repair manual, which should tell you about the replacement, I have included a site that should have what you are looking for.
