Honda Repair: CRV Air Conditioner, vacuum leak, honda crv

Question
On my wife's 98 Honda CRV the air conditioner some times quits working while driving. When we come to a stop it works again. When the light turns green and we start driving again the air quits and blows warm again. My wife has discovered that when this happens she can turn off the car and restart it again and the problem goes away. When it does work it is cold so I don't think its a refrigerant problem. From I've read and understand the compressor is controlled by the car's computer. Is this an involved computer problem, or is it as simple as a vacuum leak? Where should I start looking?

Answer
Dale:
I don't think that it is a vacuum leak. When your wife restarts the car and the problem goes away, does it work properly from that point on? I would start with the electrical components first although since the problem is somewhat intermittent it will be difficult to diagnosis. Check the relay and the wiring to make sure the connections are good and the relay works properly.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
