Honda Repair: Honda Accord brake disc replacement, shade tree mechanic, disc rotor

Question
Hi Bill

I have a 1994 Honda Accord 4 door EX on jack stands under my shade tree. I have my son(who is less of a machanic then I am, poor boy)on my right side, a Haynes Repair Manual on my left side, and a wild 2 year old grandson running around the yard like a mad man. HELP! I am trying to replace the front disc rotor. According to the book after you swing the knuckle/hub assembly out, free the driveaxle of the hub, remove the four bolts that hold the hub and brake disc assembly to the steering knuckle, you can remove the hub and disc assembly. It doesn't happen. Now,I have a older cousin as wild as that 2 year old.(He has been a shade tree mechanic all his life, poor me)He has a Big hammer in his right hand and a Heineken in his left. He can't get that knuckle/hub assmbly to budge. HELP! me if you can.

                       Thanks

Dennis:
Wow, you have a lot going against you, not sure if I can help! It sounds like to me you have everything removed that should be removed to get the disc off. Not having this problem before, the only thing I see is that you can thread bolts into the disk and tighten them to force the disc off. Hope that helps. As for the other problems... you may need to seek professional help.
Good luck.
Bill
