Honda Repair: 1989 Honda Accord LXI, honda accord lxi, 1989 honda accord

I have a 1989 Honda Accord LXI and I smell gas really bad...When I'm driving down the road it just shuts off.  The transmission used to slip...But it hasn't done that in a while...PLEASE help me if you can.  It has like 238000 miles on the car but a new motor has like 87000 miles on it.

If you overfill your tank that can be the cause of your gas smell, you should not top off your tank or you will get that gas smell. This is hard to diagnosis, you will need to get it to the point of stopping and then check for spark or fuel and see which one is missing and go from there.
