Honda Repair: SRS/Egnine and ABS lights are on., abs brakes, older cars

Question
I have a 99' accord ex and i've had the engine and abs light on permanently...check engine will turn off sometimes for about 200-300 miles then come back on, ABS is always on and abs brakes do not work.
Just recently the SRS light came on and now i want to fix all of them...they're annoying me.  Can i do something myself about it instead of taking the car to the dealer??

Answer
ok first, this is a copy/paste from another ABS answer i gave.

most common thing on honda's ABS is the unit itself..
1 of 2 things:
-the accumlator has leaked out (the spherical piece in the assembly). this supplies the pressure for the abs to apply the breaks.
-the unit itself leaks brake fluid. this will cause a 'run-on' code. if you hear the pump come on after you start the car and run for an extended period, then the light comes on, this is your problem.

either one of those will require a unit replacement. you are looking at over a grand for the part alone. most people choose to leave it be and go without. especially on older cars

occasionally the abs motor itself will go out, but this isnt as common. although the needed part is the same (1 large assembly)

now the SRS light is usually the drivers seatbelt latch. that may be warranted by a dealer because it is a safety item.

the check light, even if it is off, always stores the code.

there really is little you can do in fixing this yourself. you need to get the codes out before anything. autozone used to get engine codes out for customers, but i doubt they can get the other 2 systems.
you're gonna have to go to a shop and have all codes retrieved.
feel free to just get that info their repair estimates then send me a follow up and i will give you all the advice i can.
