Honda Repair: 94 Accord Wheel Bearing life, wheel bearings, wheel bearing

Question
Bill,
A couple of days ago my '94 Accord's left front wheel started making a scraping/squeaking sound that changes pitch with vehicle speed.  Brake pads are good.  At 140K miles, does this problem sound like a wheel bearing that's asking to be replaced?  Also, my rotors are warped from using aftermarket pads- I've lived with the problem for years.  I'll assume now's a good time to have both the wheel bearings and the rotors replaced at the same time.  What's a general $ figure (labor & parts) for getting the front rotors & bearings replaced at the same time?  I had the axles replaced at 90K, so they should be good for a while.

Thanks,
Joseph

Answer
Joseph:
The bearings usually make a growling sound. If the rotors are warped you would feel that in braking the car, the brakes would not be smooth. If you have the rotors replaced, you will need to replace the pads also.
Wheel bearings would be about $175 each, parts and labor.
A brake job including rotors might cost $100 parts and labor per wheel.
Good luck.
