Almost everyone uses some sort of steel belted radial tire. It depends upon the type of driving you do for the tire you get. Generally most all tires in a price range are about the same, if you spend more money you will get a better tire. Michelin, Bidgestone, BF Goodrich, Pirelli, Firestone, Uniroyal, Yokohama are some of the better brand and more widely purchased tires. There are still others not on my list that are very good tires.
