Honda Repair: Steering Wheel Vibration 2002 Accord V6, wheel vibration, rush hour traffic

Question
Recently, I've noticed my steering wheel starts to vibrate when the radiator fan kicks in.  The vibration isn't so hard that's it's noticable to the eye, but it is so quick and intense that it leaves my hands fatigued by the time I get home after driving in rush hour traffic.  It's intermittant with the rad fan. When I feel the rad fan come on. (the car sometimes rocks forward slightly when standing still and I can also hear it kick in. This apparently is normal, according to the manual)The rad fan has also gotten louder...not horribly, but I noticed it, it's a deeper sound now.  The dealership hasn't heard of this before and are to get back to me on this but I was hoping you might have a suggestion.  I don't think the dealership is taking this very seriously, but I'm certainly going to consider selling this car if it can't be resolved as it is really uncomfortable and I can't imagine driving on a long road trip like this! This vibration happens while sitting at lights and while travelling.  One thing I noticed today, is that it was vibrating when I parked the car at work.  I shut it off, waited about 10 seconds, started it and there was no vibration.  I let it run for less than a minute, felt the rad fan kick in and the vibration was there but not as intense.  Could the fan be loose?  Could there be a substance on one of the blades?  Can the fan be removed and run on it's own to see if it runs rough? One other thing I would like to add, is that while it was at the dealership, it was running and at temperature, we felt the wheel and it wasn't vibrating, once we took it for a test drive, it started. The mechanic also said he had it running for about an hour without noticing a vibration.  So it appears that actually driving the car may have an impact on the vibration. I really appreciate any light you may be able to shed on this!!

Donna:
Sounds like you are doing the right thing by taking it to the dealer and making sure they feel the vibration. This is a difficult problem to solve since it is intermittent. They should be able to remove the fan and run it outside the car, also the fan is mounted to the radiator and the radiator should have rubber mounts to absorb any motion, they may check to see if the radiator is secure. The fan motor may be loose, if there was a problem with one of the blades, I would think it would happen all the time. If you not happy with the way the dealer is treating you, don't hesitate to call the general manager or the owner, they should make you happy.
Hope this helps.
