Honda Repair: 2 modification questions for 1996 Honda Civic EX, honda civic ex coupe, cold air intake

Question
Hi Ryan,

I have 2 questions regarding modifications to a 1996 Honda Civic EX coupe.

Question#1
What catback exhausts do you recommend for my car? Qualities I'm looking for include:

-excellent value for the money ($400 or under)
-good performance
-aggressive sound that is not excessively loud
-durability

Question#2
I'm trying to force cooler air into my AEM short ram intake (my only modification in the car). Would it be a good idea for me to increase air flow under the hood by installing a curved pipe that directs air from the outside toward the air intake? (the pipe would be installed near the intake and would be curved down and forward, just before and beneath the front bumper)

If you could reply back with a few suggestions for my questions, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your time,

Davin

Answer
Ahh Finally a question I can use my expertise on.

For the Exhaust I recommend "MagnaFlow" Exhaust.  They Offer very very high quality products and there backed by a LIFETIME warrenty.

As for the intake.  I would recommend getting a cold air intake system but if budget doesnt allow this you could put a hood scoop in or like you said run a pipe that will "catch" air and "ram" it into the intake.

if you have anymore questions dont hesitate to ask.
