Honda Repair: Accord Engine Swap Problem, voltimeter, added strain

Question
Is there any way that i can hook up the battery directly to the fuel pump to see if it spins? The ecu has no codes in it, and i just have no idea as to what to do from here. Thanks...

Hey thanks for responding so quickly. I do have an update, however. I took out the back seat and connected the voltimeter to the fuel pump wires coming from the ecu, and turned on the car, and there was no voltage. Also, when i switch on the car, there is a clicking sound. There is one click when i turn it on, and then another about a half second later. It seems to me as thought the computer might sense that there is a problem and cut the power or something. Usually there is only one click, and everything starts. What connectors on the wiring harness are ties to the fuel pump's operation. Thanks for your advice!

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to my question. First off, I have a 1992 Honda Accord 4 door Sedan. Recently, my automatic transmission got stuck in second gear, and i kept driving, and putting added strain on the engine. A couple weeks later, the engine started clankin around, so i decided to go to the junkyard and get an engine and transmission to swap in. Now, the new engine and transmission is in the car, and i have the wiring harness installed, and all the lines and cables. Today, I go to start my car, and what do u know, nothing. It cranked and cranked. I took off the fuel line to see if it was getting fuel, and cranked the engine, and no fuel at all squirted out. Then i suspected the fuel pump is dead. I couldnt hear the fuel pump when i turn the key to the on position, but it was working perfectly before i started the engine swap. Could I have screwed up a connection? Is there a fuse for the fuel pump? And what is this fuel relay thing above the pedals? It seems as though all the connectors only fit into one other connector. What could the problem be? Thanks...

Well I would start with the Fuel Pump...If there was nothing in the fuel lines then nothing is being pumped.  I belive there is a fuse for the pump check in you repair book (get one if you dont have one) also...check your fuel filter(s) they may be clogged.  You can pick new ones up for a few bucks...might wanna just change it out.  Let me know if anything changes!!

See if you can run a Diagnostic test...or see if your ECU is "flashing" you can look up if it had any codes...Good luck

Answer
You dont wanna hook it up directly due to the pump will have no fuel in it and im afraid it will burn it up...check the power leads with a multimeter and check all fuses, make sure to inspect them very good sometimes they can be burnt without being "popped".  Other than that...im outta ideas man...sorry and good luck
