Honda Repair: No power to injector 91 Civic LX, noid light, stethascope

Question
Hello. I have a 1991 Civic TBI system. I am not getting any voltage to the injector. I already verified that fuel is reaching the injector but it wont pulse at all. I have visually inspected all the wiring harness and have even cleaned off any corrosion on the connections. Is there any way I can verify the computer is getting its proper input and output voltages with my voltmeter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Robert,

I do not know what kind of meter you have so That will depend on what you can check with it. If it measures Milliseconds, then you can check the reading at the injector itself. But before you get too technical, you should buy a noid light. Hook it up to the injector connector. It should flash as the car is running and that will tell you if it is getting its voltage. Also you can get a stethascope and listen to the injector. Is it "ticking?" You should hear a tick as the car is running. If not then you probally have a bad injector. They do go bad quite often. One last thing you can do is tap on it. Sometimes you can wake them up by doing this.
Good luck.
