Honda Repair: 90 honda ignition problem, honda ignition, randall randall

Gene when i turn the ignition the car starts but as soon as i let go of the key the car shuts down. So if i keep the key turned forward the car stays running. When i release the key it shuts down. Also when u turn the key in the 2 position on the ignition no power comes to the car(no A/C, no dash light's turn on). Thank you for your time.

Wow there must be a rash of these ignition switches going bad all of a sudden. You are the 3rd one I have had in 2 weeks.
In any case, you need to buy the electrical part of the ignition switch and install it. It is not too expensive and possibly you can manage it yourself.
