Honda Repair: Car wont start, test light, probally

Question
I just replaced my battery and timing belt in my 97 Civic Ex. When I tried to start it this morning everything came on except the engine does not even make a sound. There aren't any clicking sounds and it doesn't sound like the engine does anything when the key is turned. I know it isn't the battery...any suggestions?

Answer
Hi,
You need to see if you are getting power down to the starter. Get a test light and put it on the small wire going to the starter. Have someone turn the key. If the test light lights, then you have power to it. Then its probally a bad starter.
You may want to double check the connection at the battery. A loose or coroded terminal will have the same symptoms.
Good luck,
