Honda Repair: wheel sqeaking, axiel, honda prelude

Question
I have a 95 Honda Prelude v-tec. I had to replace my cv-axiel about 5months ago from one dealer and then shortly after my engine failed and had to get a new one put in from annother dealer.  It seem that both places are trying to push off the blame to each other.

My front right wheel makes a loud (low pitch) squeaking sound as it did before I had the new(or possibly rebuilt) cv-axiel put in. So I took it to the shop that replaced my cv-axiel and they could not figure out what was wrong with it. It only makes a squeaking sound when the car is on the ground (it seems fine on the lift), and it gets very loud when I turn left, especially when I'm in neutral (sound is not as loud when in gear). They said the bearing checks out okay but they have no idea whats causing the noise.

Please help me.

-thank you.

Answer
Kenny,
Since I can't hear the noise, I can only guess what is causing the noise. It sounds like it may be something as simple as a rotor heat shield rubbing the rotor. Make sure that the shield is bent away from the rotor. Even if it is close to the rotor, itmay make noise only on turns.
I doubt it is the axle itself. Sounds like you may need to take it to a dealer who will spend the time and fix the car for you, instead of blowing you out.
Good luck,
Gene
