Honda Repair: 96 v6 accord a/c relay, compressor clutch, freon

Question
I have a 96 accord ex v6 that the shop told me needs a new a/c relay installed because the compressor for a/c kicks off then wont engage again. The freon levels were fine. They also stated the coil and clutch needed replaced, because the coil might not be stong enough to engage the clutch. (They tapped it with a wrench and it engaged for them) but I would like to try just the relay first. Where is this located and can I replace it myself?

Answer
Steve,
The A/C relay is mounted on the right front of the radiator if I am not mistaken. Thier will be 2 relays mounted side by side. I would replace both and go from thier. One is for the condenser fan and one for the compressor clutch. They are easy to replace.
Good luck,
Gene
